Broadway Proformance

Aladdin on Broadway  I have seen Aladdin on Broadway I believe in 2016, maybe 2015. I got the cheapest tickets because it was all I could afford. I paid for me and one of my ex's. I remember being really excited to go because it was my first Broadway show I've ever been to. The show was in the New Amsterdam Theater in New York City. The play was spectacular, honesty. We were on a pretty high up angle, so unlike the people lower than us, we were able to see how the stage turned at the base and opened up with trap doors. In a way, it kind of ruined the "magic" of how the play was working, but it was still really cool to actually see how they made it work. The special effects, from what I remember, were very well done. From the fog to the projections and the way the stage turned was very clever and fascinating. What I was most impressed with was the actor that played Aladdin. He sounded just like Aladdin from the Disney movie and he did not miss a beat of si

opera paper

Briella Zoino Opera Paper 9/21/17 Gianni Schicchi Gianni Schicchi is a comic, three-one act opera by Giacomo Puccini. It first was performed on December 14, 1918 at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York . Gianni Schicchi takes place in 13th century Florence. It was inspired by an event that took place in Dante's Divine Comedy. Buoso Donati, a deceased aristocrat, has his family standing all around his dead body in the first scene. Everyone in the family wants his fortune now that he has passed away and the whole family is like vultures. Meanwhile, Rinuccio, the son of Buoso’s cousin, Zita asks for permission to marry Lauretta who is the daughter of Gianni Schicchi. She tells him that he can marry whoever he wants if he ends up getting Buoso’s money that he left behind.  The brother-in-law, Betto, heard that Buoso left his whole fortune to a monastery. A monastery is a building for religious purposes, in this case, it would be catholic. The whole family scrambles to

Madame Butterfly Review

Briella Zoino Madame butterfly review 9/16/17 Art and Technology Madame Butterfly is a beautifully written opera by Pjotr Sapegin that expresses an abundance of emotion. Madame butterfly has passionate relations with her lover, who is a sailor. Right after they have relations, her lover leaves and they both say their goodbyes. Madame butterfly is pregnant while her lover is away. She waits day in and day out for him to return. Once he returns, she is so ecstatic to see him. But, he has another lover and takes the baby away from her, showing no remorse for her feelings. Her lover then leaves with the baby and his new lover and they never see her again. Madame butterfly commits suicide at the end of the opera. The music is a spectacular sound to be heard. There is so much passion in just the music alone. Technology is used by having different rooms they walk in and out of to represent each part of the house. In the stop motion clay animation film, it sums up in ten minutes wha

Comments on "Raul Cuero's interview about creativity"

After watching Raul Cuero's interview about creativity, I was surprised by how optimistic and how hard working Raul was. He did not come from the best background, but he never let that stop him. Even when he was bullied in school, he did not stop being himself even if he felt like an outcast. It made me happy to know he really tried hard to keep up with his education and his well being. Raul is a very intelligent person and I believe that the people that have all the odds against them in life, or feel they are not intelligent or feel they do not amount to anything in society, I think they should have the mindset and similar goals of Raul.

Assignment 2

Image
For my "Combine two images or objects into a new whole image or object" project, I chose to combine a light bulb with a greenhouse. The light bulb is cracked and on the ground outside in an abandoned area. But, plants are growing inside of the light bulb which is giving the light bulb a new meaning for life.   I apologize for lack of perfection. Highlighters, pens, and loose leaf paper was all I had to work with because of the hurricane.

Assignment 1

My name is Briella Zoino and I am taking Art and Technology for the Fall semester. I really hope to gain more of an appreciation towards art and find deeper meanings on how art connects with technology.  My first feelings for the class when I walked in was really inviting and fun. I can not wait to really get into the topics that Ms. Roundtree has planned for my class.
